Educational Workshops and Support Groups
WRC offers a wide range of workshops and support groups which focus on
skill building and transition management. Topics range from divorce,
self-esteem and co-dependency to workplace communication, goal setting,
women's health issues, and starting a small business.
Individual Short Term Counseling
WRC provides individual short term counseling by professional staff with
Master's Degrees in Social Work or Counseling. Financial, career,
couples and pregnancy counseling are also available.
Resource and Referrals
WRC maintains a lending library of books, videos and tapes on a variety
of subjects of interest to women. Resource and referral information on
community resources and various women's services is available in person
or by phone.
Confidentiality
All information regarding clients of WRC is treated as confidential.
Fees
Counseling, support groups, and workshops are designed to be
affordable. A sliding scale fee is available. No one is ever
denied services due to lack of funds.
Community Presentations
WRC makes presentations to church groups, service clubs, business and
organizations on specific skill building topics and the special needs of
women in transition.
Support Services for Women
WRC facilitates transportation for women seeking counseling or attending
workshops and support groups.
