Cinderella's Closet

A Partnership of the Women's Resource Center and Snedicor's Cleaners to provide High School students with Prom and Homecoming dresses!

DONATE A DRESS: If you have a gently used, currently styled prom or homecoming dress, take it to any of Snedicor's three Livingston County locations. Snedicor's donates the cleaning of all dresses. For these locations, please visit www.snedicors.com

PURCHASE A DRESS: $25 with your High School student ID. Dresses can be purchased on the following dates at the Snedicor's located on the corner of Latson and Grand River in Howell. 863 S. Latson Road. Howell
September 23rd, 24th, 30th and October 1st from 3:30 - 6:30 pm
September 25th and October 2nd from 10:00am - 2:00 pm

Circle of Parents

A group for Fathers, Stepfathers or other male caregivers to talk with and support each other. Join us to share your ideas and concerns about parenting. There is no cost to participate.

2010 Sessions are:

First and third Wednesday of the month ongoing throughout the year, 7-8:30 pm

Nurturing Parenting Classes

Nationally recognized program for parents of young children, newborn to 11 years.

Learn more about Empathy, Appropriate Expectations, Positive Discipline, Parent-Child Roles, and Power and Independence.

COST: $75 for one parent; $100 for both parents. Limited scholarships available.

2010 Sessions are:

Mondays starting September 20th through November 22nd, 2010

Note: Class on Monday Nov. 1st is rescheduled for Wednesday Nov. 3rd

Fathers Only Parenting Classes

Fathers, step-fathers and male caregivers learn new attitudes, behaviors and skills that lead to nurturing, rewarding relationships with their children, their partners and family members

COST: $75 per person. Limited scholarships available. Includes class materials and snacks.

Tuesdays starting October 5th through November 25, 6:00 - 8:00 pm

At Livingston County East Complex, Room B

Creating Lasting Family Connections

This free program is designed to support parents and caregivers raising teens. Learn more about techniques to improve communication, reduce conflict and improve follow through with consequences, and identification of adolescent substance use patterns and behavior changes that could lead to problem behavior.

Wednesdays starting September 29th through November 10th 7-8:30 pm
